Common sense and Kellog's

This Kellogg's tweet from last week has been justifiably vilified in both traditional and social media.

Yet I can understand why the people behind it thought it was a good idea.

Get people to retweet and vulnerable kids get a free brekky. How can it go wrong?

Easy.

Many people don't take the time to consider how their ideas will be interpreted by the general public.

I'm not talking about research or testing of ideas.

I'm talking common sense.

And sadly in many agencies and marketing departments common sense isn't all that common.
